funny how I feel most myself in a dress that a woman in the 50s probably wore whilst writing love letters to her man at war by candlelight, of course with a cup of tea that had gone cold and a record playing softly in the background perhaps she wore it the morning she received his letter back or the day she decided she was better off without him anyways, I wore it to get matcha šŸµ thanks for taking care of the dress, Betty šŸ’Œ
Youā€™re right. šŸ«¶
Miami is such a vibrant and colorful city with such amazing architecture! With just 24 hours, I tried to see and experience as much as I could! Miami has one of the worldā€™s most amazing skyline and I got to see it while on a cruise here. It IS breathtaking! Exploring along vibrant Ocean Drive, South Beach and learning about the history of all the famous buildings is incredible. Took a quick stop at the Wynwood Walls and even caught an artist working on his wall! While I was there, of course I had to try the Best Gelato in town! It was so yummy! Next, had to stop at Little Havana and even went to a Cuban Cigar Factory and had a sample of a very strong cup of Cuban Coffee! Lastly, I could not leave Miami without trying Cuban food and having a Mojito! CHEERS to Miami!! Love this city and definitely need to come back for more! #solotraveler #miami #blessed #thankful #explorer

A day to make memories. The kind you carry with you for years to come. ā¤ļø Iā€™ve always loved travelling. I genuinely believe it makes us richer. Not in what we own, but in what we experience, discover and learn along the way. And Iā€™m so grateful I get to share that with Finn. Weā€™ve been to Paris with him before, but he was too little to remember much. I have a feeling this trip, especially because of Disney, will stay with him. Which makes me wonder, how much do you actually remember from your childhood? I remember quite a lot, but there are also entire chapters that seem to have disappeared. I was talking about this with one of my oldest childhood friends recently. How some memories are crystal clear, while others are just a big black hole. Perhaps some things are better left there. But Paris. Oh, Paris. I was 18 when I first arrived at Gare du Nord. Completely alone. A young girl with a suitcase, stepping into a world she knew very little about. I remember her so clearly. What she didnā€™t know was how much life would ask of her. How many times sheā€™d have to pick herself up, find her courage, start over and learn to believe in herself. And now, at 51, I get to walk those same streets with my son, feeling a happiness and peace my 18-year-old self couldnā€™t even imagine. Iā€™ve grown. Iā€™ve healed. Iā€™ve made mistakes. Iā€™ve lost things, found things and learned that becoming the woman you want to be isnā€™t always a beautiful, straightforward journey. Sometimes itā€™s messy. Sometimes itā€™s lonely. Sometimes it takes decades. And thatā€™s something I love about life. You donā€™t have to have it all figured out at 20, 30 or even 50. Youā€™re allowed to take your time. Youā€™re allowed to become someone you never imagined you could be. Every time I return to Paris, I think about young Dee. And I wish I could tell her that one day sheā€™d walk these streets again, no longer searching for herself, but finally feeling at home in her own life. And that sheā€™d be happy. Bloody grateful. Wow. Just wow. ā¤ļø #paris #family #growingup #lifeexperience #andbloom
