A witness told WXIA that he “fell and hit the car 3 different times” before he hit the roof of a haunted house attraction below.
Another witness described the incident to the BBC as “super bizarre” and “traumatic”.
According to the BBC, Six Flags said in a statement that it was “deeply saddened” by the incident and extended its condolences to the man’s family, friends, and loved ones.
An investigation is under way. As a precautionary measure, Six Flags has closed nine rides across the United States and Canada temporarily.
