I struggled for YEARS before I finally figured out what foods would actually work for me. I was going from doctor to doctor, trying pill after pill… still wondering why nothing was changing 🥲 I had seen 50+ doctors, yet one of the biggest pieces was barely addressed properly: My everyday diet. Once I stopped treating food like an afterthought and started building my diet around digestion, tolerance, and nutrient density, things finally started moving in the right direction. But here’s where people mess this up 👇 They hear “zinc” → eat tons of red meat. They hear “magnesium” → load up on beans and legumes. They hear “fiber” → start eating giant raw salads. Nutritionally impressive? Sure. Easy on an already irritated digestive system? Not always. So I built my repeat-food list around 2 things: 1. Nutrient density → protein, choline, zinc, magnesium, potassium, B vitamins, healthy fats, fiber, and amino acids your body needs. 2. Digestibility → foods I can actually tolerate and build into a reflux-friendly diet. My 25 👇 1. Eggs 2. Chicken 3. White fish 4. Greek yogurt 5. Lactose-free milk 6. Oats 7. White rice 8. Potatoes 9. Sweet potatoes 10. Bananas 11. Papaya 12. Melon 13. Blueberries 14. Carrots 15. Zucchini 16. Cucumber 17. Spinach 18. Pumpkin 19. Red bell pepper 20. Chia seeds 21. Ground flaxseed 22. Pumpkin seeds 23. Brazil nuts 24. Ginger 25. Psyllium husk You do NOT need to eat all 25. You need to figure out what YOUR body tolerates, cover your nutritional bases, and build a diet you can actually sustain. And no… these foods alone won’t magically make reflux disappear. Portions, meal timing, digestion, stress, sleep, food intolerances, and your individual triggers still matter. And this is where the real lifestyle work comes in.
