There have been interesting cultural shifts occurring in the post 2020 world. As there was a mass exodus of law enforcement, softer on crime policies, and lack of enforcement from those who stayed in the profession that were told to stop being proactive by command… crime exploded in that power vacuum. It wasn’t just low IQ career criminals who seized on the opportunity… there has been a wide spectrum of people who have been delving into crime. One of the new crimes that has taken hold are street take overs. It started with “no pursuit” policies being put in place by cities and departments… all it takes is a few videos of vehicles or motorcycles driving recklessly in front of the police, with the officers not taking action hitting social media to plant the seed in the minds of young people that the rules are no longer what they used to be... Honestly, what 18 year old boy with a fast car or bike isn’t going to want to run from the police if they know they can’t be chased? Through all of this, pseudo “motorcycle gangs” have emerged. They are not conducting organized crime or anything like that… they are just out on public roadways doing this sht. Unfortunately, this isn’t going to improve anytime soon. More and more agencies are implementing policies stating that pursuing a motorcycle is automatically use of deadly force. Which means unless they are shooting at people, they are not going to be chased. The possibility of a consequence for these people does not exist. There has been a lot of public backlash against these groups… Ultimately the police get blamed for this. All I can say is, encourage the people you know to be more informed the next time you vote.
