4 hours agoConstitutional protections apply to all persons on U.S. soil. In federal court challenges and oversight findings, ICE enforcement primarily conflicts with these standards: Fourth Amendment (Warrant Requirements): Entering private property using administrative warrants (Forms I-200/I-205) instead of judicial search warrants signed by a neutral judge. Fifth Amendment (Due Process): Utilizing expedited removals that bypass immigration hearings, and securing voluntary departure signatures without legal consultation. Fifth & Eighth Amendments (Detention): Holding civil detainees for prolonged periods without prompt bond hearings, alongside documented deficiencies in facility medical care. Sixth Amendment (Counsel Access): While appointed counsel is not provided in civil proceedings, ICE faces recurring litigation for restricting confidential attorney access and transferring detainees away from legal counsel.

19 hours agoEND ICE DETENTION. Approve. HR 6397 titled "Dignity for Detained Immigrants" HR 6397 by Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal. The proposed bill would close detention facilities & start saving the US millions of $$. PLUS, end the quotas, torture, killings, & stop the unwanted sterilization, stop child raped, & tortured, etc. The facilities get paid per prisoner w/the trumps owning 30% of the facilities. The US pays per head, per night. So it doesn't matter if the centers are full of true criminals because trump still gets paid. HR 6397 proposes a proven solution allowing detainees to be monitored in their own homes & complete process of immigration pass or fail. 73% of the individuals in these facilities are not, I repeat, NOT criminals! PLEASE Speak to your representatives & get them to look into Bill HR 6397 to vote YES! Thank you
