Sometimes a simple, fun, mystery is the perfect read! Full of humor, friendly ghosts and a cat who seems to know all the town secrets, this is a great book for kids!
This book is about Evan, a curious kid who likes to solve mysteries. When a little free library shows up in town one day, he takes 2 books. And that's when the mystery starts. The books are from the library that burned down. With cats, mice, friendly ghosts and more, this book is going to take you on a mystery who'll never forget!
I enjoyed this book. It wasn't my favorite read, but it's clean, kid-friendly and funny. A Kid-Friendly Mystery is how it is sold, and I agree with that statement. The cat and mice are funny and cute! The ghosts are goofy and fun! And I loved Evan and his growth; he was a well written character. There is mention of a library fire that people died in, but other than that, very clean.
Overall, this novel is a great book for boys and girls 9 and up! Happy Reading! -The Young Llama Reader.
