Mumbai is feeling the heat as the city continues to experience soaring temperatures, uncomfortable humidity, and deteriorating air quality!

After six consecutive days of intense heat, temperatures reportedly climbed to 38.2°C, making outdoor conditions particularly uncomfortable for residents. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) also forecast a maximum temperature of around 36°C for Saturday, with clear skies and persistent humidity adding to the discomfort.

Adding to the concern, Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) was reported at 251, placing it in the Unhealthy category on the US AQI scale. Such pollution levels can pose health risks, particularly for children, older adults, and people with respiratory conditions.
The combination of high temperatures, humidity, and poor air quality can make everyday outdoor activities more challenging. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours, and limit strenuous outdoor activities when pollution levels are elevated.

With the city facing both heat and pollution concerns, taking simple precautions can make a significant difference.

How are Mumbaikars dealing with this intense heat?☀️
