When designers Joe and Emily Reilly of @coalcornwall fell in love with a pair of derelict Cornish cottages, more than 250 years old, they embarked on a labour of love. The back-to-back cottages had stood empty for five years, and before that, they'd been home to an eccentric vet. ‘There were animal sized cubby holes indoors and mounds of discarded needles outside.’ says Joe. Imagine spending 30 days living high in the Italian Alps, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery, while contributing to scientific research. 🇮🇹🏔️ A unique research program is seeking volunteers to spend a month at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, where scientists will study how the human body adapts to high-altitude environments. Selected participants would be able to work remotely while taking part in the study, combining everyday life with an extraordinary mountain experience. The opportunity has been described as an all-expenses-paid stay, although current availability, eligibility, and covered expenses have not been independently confirmed. A month in the Italian Alps, surrounded by nature, while helping advance science. 🔬
