The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) was established in 1959 and has grown from a small air support unit into a modern, capable air force that plays a vital role in defending Oman’s sovereignty. Throughout its history, the RAFO has supported national development, humanitarian missions, and regional security. Today its fleet includes advanced aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon and F-16 Fighting Falcon for air defense, C-130 Hercules and CASA C-295 for transport, and NH90 and Super Lynx helicopters, operating from major bases in Muscat, Thumrait, and Masirah. 🇴🇲🎖️
