I am having WAY too much fun exploring the possibilities of food waste dyes again for
✨A Year in Natural Dyes✨

✂️ Onion skins can be cut creatively to any shape for fun ecoprints of whatever you like. The potent and dye-rich skins of both red and yellow onions can make a unique textural print- I love the way it turned out in combination with the skull shapes.
This technique is full of possibilities!
Try:
✷ Simple Shapes
✷ Seasonal Symbols 🎃
✷ Monograms / Initials
✷Words / Poems / Quotes!

When my son saw my seasonal symbol experiments with cut onion skins he remarked that he liked the skulls- so I knew I had to make him a custom print t-shirt for October 💀

This @green_tailor Organic Cotton T-shirt was a dream to print on- the perfect weight and gauge knit for ecoprinting to get great clarity with no bleeding.

And I have successfully used this creative cutting technique on other food waste materials- learn it all in ✨AYIND ✨
