29 feels like that bit before the ending of a movie when you’re kinda getting the clear plot, the peak almost, of the character’s arc & everything kind of settles before they display the last few minutes that either mimics how the characters eventually end up or where their life has ended up after that peak. (I hope you know what I’m trying to reference)
Not to say 30 is the end of the movie aka end of life no.. but the end of one movie and the start of another. I’m now in the last bit of this movie. The plot twist I didn’t see coming & It’s surprisingly satisfying.
I am unapologetically a university student, again. Back as if i’m 19 again. Who would’ve thought? Not me. Who would’ve thought you can somehow replay a movie from the beginning and re-write your own script (excluding the fact that we live in a digital world where we press, click & play movies on demand, if not write them with ai) but 29 kinda let me do that. Like here you go Amar. Here’s one more shot to write this story off as you once wished in your early 20’s. In the last bit of your movie you get a plot twist that even the main character (you) didn’t know was coming & the director (God) is at the very core of it all
& yes 29 will let you rephrase everything back to a meaning, to God, a settling feeling that comes with age.
Yeah, age.. it’s a beautiful thing to age.
It’s scary & mysterious & unclear but its beautiful.
No I don’t need botox
No I don’t need to freeze my eggs
No time doesn’t “go by so fast”
29 years felt like 29 decades.
It is actually pretty slow when you decide it is.
It took 29 years to build that mentality
29 years to know how to set your own laws
29 years of blessings & experiences
Here is to my new chapter
Away from my parents, again.
Away in a strange country, again.
Alone in my dorm, again.
Cycle of life
& over again & again, الحمدالله
To the best plot twist yet.
