With advocacy from Survivors Justice Project (SJP), a community partner supported by The New York Women’s Foundation, Kisha was released from prison early and reunited with her family.
At our 2026 Celebrating Women® Breakfast, she took the stage to share her story.
This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we recognize Kisha’s courage and the work of community partners like SJP, whose advocacy challenges the criminalization of survivors.
