California: More views of fire activity from the Norte Fire earlier today in Orange County from Darin McClure. Activity has since diminished some, with numerous homes lost. More reasons to pass the Fix Our Forests Act, extend wildfire aviation contracts, and support the boots on the ground with better pay and benefits. Eventually Congress will take it seriously. Thanks to all the subscribers who make this possible for everyone! We are 100% supported through Substack subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions to the Substack support charitable donations to help injured firefighters and their families in need. Also paid subscriptions get exclusive workouts, more podcasts, more articles, automatically entered into our giveaways, and access to the entire archives. Comment DRILLS and I’ll DM you the info for the Drawing Drills course. Drawing Drills is built for artists who know they need to practice, but aren’t always sure what they should be practicing. Instead of just watching drawing tutorials, you actually draw. We train line control, hand-eye coordination, shapes, 3D forms, perspective, construction, crosshatching, value, texture, and drawing from imagination through focused exercises and repetition. The course has 48+ full-length drawing lessons and continues to grow with a new lesson every two weeks. Each drill isolates a specific skill, gives you a way to practice it, then shows you how that skill connects back to real drawing. Less watching. More drawing. You don’t need one giant breakthrough. You need thousands of small ones.
