30 years, and still timeless. 🤍

Some brands are more than just fashion. They hold memories, friendships, and stories that stay with you for a lifetime.

For me, that brand is TIME by HANDSOME, one of Korea’s iconic womenswear labels.

My friend’s uncle was the CEO of Handsome, and my friend worked there, too. Thanks to her, I used to visit their office in Samseongdong two or three times a week. The funny part? Her colleagues often mistook me for an employee! I even joined their company dinners.

The piece I’m wearing today is a TIME sample that my friend secretly saved for me after a collection review. Samples were supposed to be destroyed afterward, but somehow, this one found its way into my wardrobe.

And here I am, wearing it nearly 30 years later. Still beautiful. Still timeless.

That’s why I trust TIME. The quality of the fabrics, the impeccable tailoring, and the effortlessly elegant silhouettes have always stood out to me.

나에게는 유난히 특별한 추억과 인연이 있는 브랜드다.

친구의 외삼촌이 한섬 사장님이셨고, 친구도 그곳에서 근무했었다. 친구 덕분에 삼성동을 일주일에 두세 번씩 드나들었고, 회사 직원들이 나를 직원으로 착각하기도 했다는…
회식 자리까지 따라다녔으니 그럴 만도 하지. ㅎㅎ

오늘 내가 입은 옷은 바로 TIME 샘플.

품평회가 끝나면 소각해야 하는 샘플을 친구가 몰래 챙겨다 줬던 옷이다. 그렇게 내 옷장에 들어온 지 어느덧 30년.

그런데 지금도 처음 만났을 때처럼 멋스럽다.
그래서 나는 TIME의 원단과 완성도를 믿는다.

곱게 떨어지는 라인, 시원하면서도 은근히 섹시한 실루엣, 클래식하면서 세련된 디자인.
친구가 옷을 가져다주면 입어 보고, 친구는 늘 말하곤 했다.

“딱 네 스타일이야. 분위기 최고!” 👍🏻

한때는 내 옷장에 TIME 정장이 가득했다.
그런데 산후우울증 때문이었을까… 다시는 못 입을 거라 생각해 옷의 80%를 정리해 버렸다. 지금 생각하면 얼마나 아까운지. 🥹

그리고 또 한 번의 인연.

우연히 전 남자친구의 동창들을 함께 만났는데, 그중 한 명이 TIME의 디자이너였다. 그언니 에게 피팅 모델을 해보지 않겠냐는 제안까지 받았다.

그렇게 또다시 한섬과 인연이 이어졌다.

참, 질긴 인연이다. ㅎㅎ

나는 피부가 예민해서 화학원단에 따라 알레르기 반응이 생기기도 한다. 그래서 옷을 고를 때 원단을 중요하게 생각하는 편이다.

30년이 지나도 변하지 않는 품질과 감각.
유행을 넘어 시간을 견디는 옷.
