@thejasminebrand: #Beyoncé and #KellyRowland are giving back to their hometown in a major way! ❤️

The longtime friends and former Destiny’s Child groupmates were joined by Beyoncé’s mom #TinaKnowles and daughters #BlueIvy and Rumi on Tuesday (Oct. 13) for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of the Knowles-Rowland House in Houston. The development features 31 permanent housing units for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness, with 16 designed to accommodate residents with disabilities. The project also offers access to mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, and other supportive services to help residents rebuild their lives.

The opening marks a full-circle moment for Beyoncé and Kelly, as the property was originally built in 1999 as a youth center funded in part by earnings from DC’s early music career. After suffering damage from Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and a fire in 2021, the building has now been transformed into a space dedicated to providing stability and support for Houston residents in need.
