When someone calls themself a fan but don’t know much about something, they are not a larper. A larper is someone who pretends to be someone they are not. A fan is someone who likes something, not someone who knows something, but people don’t know how to separate things. You only call someone who doesn’t know so much about something if they claim that they know, not if they say they are a fan

I hate this trend of people calling other larpers on the spot, cause for exemple, i always had a shit memory for names, like in any type of media, so at the time when i would talk about a character i'd be like "i really enjoyed this character... You know this guy that looks like this" and the person would say "oh yeah sure this one, it's -" proceed to tell me his name and that's it, we'd all have a great day, but now if i can't remember the name (like in 99% of the time) i'm immediatly gonna get larping accusation and the person in front of me is gonna question if i'm a true fan of the media or straight up call me a larper
