![Three men in China were filmed pushing their car for nearly 500 meters after drinking alcohol, choosing not to drive while intoxicated. The incident took place in Xiangyang, Hubei Province, on June 11, 2025. According to local traffic police, one man guided the steering wheel from outside the car while the other two pushed from behind. CCTV footage confirmed that no one was sitting in the driverβs seat. Police said the incident did not meet the criteria for drunk driving under the circumstances. However, pushing a car along public roads still violated traffic regulations and posed a safety risk to other road users. The unusual incident sparked discussions online, with many debating whether pushing a car is a safer alternative to driving after drinking.
