My big lil sis sent me this pic from the fair the other day.. and it touched my heart, might’ve shed a little tear. And to address the confusion, this is my little sister..
-
I was never really an emotional person. Never someone that could understand other’s emotions or how they feel. But my family was extended a little over two years ago, 7 added to be exact.. a big sis and her 6 children that are not my niece/nephews. They are my little siblings. Though they all helped changed my heart, the one that really made the biggest impact on my life is Kinsleigh.
-
I remember at first having a hard time trying to get her to like me, wasn’t very open with me. But over time, she began to accept me and has become someone I cherish more than anything right now. Someone I wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice for, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t sacrifice for any of the children.. it’s just yk.. as a man, it hits different when a little girl genuinely loves you. When I’m home, anywhere I go, she comes beside me to hold my hand.. even in the house
-
Live a life of love and sacrificing for others. Be a blessing to people that come across you in life.

The first time she asked to do something with me that i do was that meal prep btw

This was such a big deal!

We were at a new restaurant and I ordered Edemame for Hannah which is something that she is almost always able to eat.

When it came out, it had black pepper on it and this is something she isn’t used to. Even seeing a different seasoning on food that what she wasn’t expecting would have prevented her from even trying it before.

Her first reaction was I’m not going to eat that because it looks different, but then she decided she would try it and this would be a good exposure.

Avoidance is often the first response to something different, but she has learned so much on this journey. She is always reminding herself that she can do hard things even when her initial thought is she can’t.

To some people this may not seem like a big deal, but to us this shows exactly just how far she has come.

5 days out @naturalbbworldwide 🌎

Carb loading starts from tomorrow but already having some 250g from today 😋 flight to Manchester goes in 8 hours! Beyond excited for this show. Looking forward meeting everyone there and having a great time 🙌

66.2kg this morning - by far lowest so far in prep but pumping that most likely back up a bit. That peak/diet break comes perfect now before the next strike toward worlds

Did life actually go back to normal after 2020… or did we just learn to function in a different version of it?

Everything is open again. We’re working, traveling, eating out, going to events. But so many people seem more tired, more stressed, more isolated and constantly in a rush.

Maybe it’s the cost of living. Maybe it’s technology. Maybe it’s what those years did to our sense of time, community and connection. Maybe it’s all of it.

I hear some version of this constantly: life just feels different now.

Do you feel it too? And if you do, what do you think actually changed?
