I am very excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Rivier University. I want to thank my parents, friends, Coach Patterson, and all of the coaches and teammates who have supported me throughout this journey. Lastly, I want to thank Coach Smith for giving me this opportunity. Go Raiders

Your reminder that fall farm days don’t have to be about pumpkins 🍂😂

There’s SO much more to @loftcountry than finding the perfect pumpkin!

From feeding goats and riding ponies to bouncing on the jumping pillow, getting lost in the corn maze, and panning for gems… there’s no shortage of little adventures to enjoy together. 🐐🐴🌽💎

Of course, we still picked out some pumpkins because… it’s not fall without them! But honestly, it’s the laughs, the little adventures, and the memories we make together that make these family outings so special.

📍 Loft Country, Langley, BC — save this for your next family outing!

In English, verbs rely heavily on context, pronouns, and auxiliary words (like did, will, would) to express time and intent. Portuguese embeds all this information directly into the ending of the verb.
Here is why they exist:
• Grammatical Person (Subject): English uses “did” for I, you, he, we, they. Portuguese changes the ending for almost every subject to show exactly who is doing the action without needing to repeat the pronoun (e.g., fiz = I did, fez = he/she/you did).
• Nuanced Past Tenses: English relies on “used to do” or “was doing” to show ongoing past actions. Portuguese has a specific, single-word tense for this (fazia vs. fez).
• The Subjunctive Mood: Portuguese has an entire set of conjugations dedicated strictly to hypotheticals, doubts, wishes, and possibilities (faça, fizesse, fizer). English usually handles this with simple past or present forms (e.g., “If I did that...” becomes “Se eu fizesse aquilo...”).
