I believe he was at his absolute prime when he left the army in 1960, appearing on the TV show with Frank Sinatra. It’s a shame that he only performed one concert—in Hawaii in 1960—and then spent so many years doing nothing but films; that was his physical and vocal prime. That aside, 1969 was his best year. I still hold out hope that one of the concerts from that year was professionally filmed and might surface someday. 🎸 👑
