The hard reality of being bipolar, especially with rapid cycling, is how fast the weather inside your own head can change. One day there’s sunlight. The next, it feels like somebody opened the ocean and told you to swim. Right now, the darkness caught up with me again. There’s been too much pressure, too many problems, too much noise from the outside, and I’m trying to find my way back through it without turning every bad day into evidence that I’m failing at life. I don’t want to sit here and pity myself. But I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t sometimes feel like whatever I do is somehow wrong, too much, not enough, too late, too sensitive, too distant. So if my replies are slower right now, that’s why. Today’s great heroic achievement was getting out of bed and finally taking a shower. Sometimes surviving the wave looks less like fighting and more like refusing to let it carry you completely away. #bipolarreality #rapidcycling #quietbattles #onedayatatime #bipolardisorder

Ahhhh.... it’s cover reveal day for Nix and Tater Tot! Did someone say marriage of convenience? Yes, please! I love these two SO MUCH and I have so many fun things planned for this release to share with you soon! Who’s ready to head back to Blue Sky Bay with me?

BLURB:
Phoenix Stark does not do relationships.
Nor does he make promises.
And he definitely doesn’t believe in happily ever after.
He’s a broody tattooed firefighter and a man of very few words.
Except with me.
And when my five-year-old nephew is unexpectedly left in my care, I’m determined to give him the stable home he deserves.
But between my part-time job and his Type 1 diabetes, I need more than love to make that happen.
I need health insurance, a home and a husband.
Phoenix offers me all three.
His solution? Marry him.
A fake marriage to my oldest friend should be simple, except suddenly I’m living in his house, sharing his bed, and convincing everyone around us that we’re madly in love.
And somewhere between raising a little boy together and pretending that this marriage is real, the lines we’ve spent a lifetime protecting begin to disappear.
But Phoenix doesn’t believe in forever.
And I refuse to risk the best friendship I’ve ever had for a love he may never be able to give me.
The problem is, I’m starting to wonder if the man who refuses to promise me forever has been loving me all along.
