STEPBYSTEP>I was so moody when I started this, telling myself this is why i dont bother arriving early and thinking a time wasn't possible. I couldnt even fully eat my cereal that morning because i wasn't feeling super well. But 10 mins later after starting i told myself just get through the first crowd, get comfy and then give it your all and have fun. I found these two guys running together (wearing bandit, seemed fast lol) and used them as motivation. By running outside every morning I knew that finding things to fixate on (running to get more milk, running to the farmers market) would help me stay locked in. I found a rhythm and throughout it the runners around me were also randomly encouraging me as well which was beautiful. Then the hills came, my pace slowed. Im used to hills but that shit was steep and all at the end. I had a caffeine gel for the boost, swung my arms to get through it, and as the last miles approached I told myself if I could be in the 30s for the first time ever I'd be so proud of what I did today. This gave me an insane burst at the end just to picture how disappointed id feel after a strong effort. The hills really tried to stop me there was even one right before the last mile wtf! I just kept that thought in my head and got there, still pushing. In the 30s for the first time. I dont care about time most of the time TRUST ME. I care about if i gave it my all and its been cool to see my progress in a year of changing my mentality. And after a 70 mile week that felt pretty frekin cool. #running
