While the program has not been announced yet, IL confirmed this week that the university has been ramping up their efforts to field a varsity men’s team in time for the 2028 season.
They hope to land the many Ivy League players in the transfer portal, several of whom have expressed interest in the program.

Fuckin Ted Cruz and that new NCAA Eligibility Rule is Bullshit. SMU will NOT be able to get quality players in the Transfer Portal. LAX Players transfer quite a bit. What about People who go into the Military after HS and go to College on the GI Bill and want to Play sports.
