🏃♀️ 5 REASONS YOU THINK YOU'RE "NOT A RUNNER" AND WHY YOU'RE WRONG! 🫎
Tried running, hated it, and decided it wasn't for you?
But what if you were just starting wrong? 👀
🫣 1. YOU FELT SELF-CONSCIOUS.
The bouncing. The jiggling. The feeling that EVERYONE is watching.
I GET IT! Even I notice it after taking a couple months off.
But have you EVER driven past a runner and thought, "WOW, look at that jiggly person!"?
NO. 😂
And if someone IS judging? They're probably eating a cheeseburger in their car while YOU'RE out there doing something good for yourself.
Your body doesn't have to look a certain way to run.
🔥 2. YOU BURNED YOURSELF OUT.
Monday: I'm becoming a runner!
Tuesday: Run.
Wednesday: Run.
Thursday: Run.
Friday: NEVER AGAIN.
Your body needs recovery! Start with 2–3 running days per week, not seven.
Consistency beats burnout.
👟 3. YOU WORE THE WRONG SHOES.
You grabbed the sneakers you lift in, shop at Walmart in, and mow the lawn in. Then wondered why everything hurt. 😂
You don't need expensive shoes, just comfortable running shoes that fit!
⏱️ 4. YOU EXPECTED TOO MUCH, TOO SOON.
You haven't run since middle school but expected to run a mile nonstop on day one.
When you couldn't, you decided you weren't a runner.
Try running 30 seconds and walking 90 seconds. Repeat!
Walking isn't failing. It's TRAINING.
🍌 5. YOU STARTED DIETING TOO.
You started running, drastically cut calories AND eliminated carbs.
Now running feels like dragging a refrigerator uphill. 😂
RUNNING REQUIRES ENERGY!
Eating too little makes workouts harder and recovery tougher. Fuel your body! Carbs aren't the enemy.
💗 HERE'S WHAT I WANT YOU TO UNDERSTAND:
You don't have to run fast, far, or nonstop.
You don't have to lose weight or LOOK like a runner.
If you run, you're a runner. Even if it's 30 seconds at a time.
Maybe nobody ever showed you how to start. 🫎💙
