🏀NBA STARS PULL UP TO IMHOTEP!
Today was nothing short of SPECIAL at Imhotep Institute Charter High School!
We had the incredible honor of welcoming Philadelphia 76ers stars Jaylen Brown, Tacko Fall, and our very own Imhotep graduate, Justin Edwards, back to Imhotep Nation for an unforgettable afternoon of inspiration, motivation, and celebration!
And they didn’t just come to talk. THEY CAME TO HOOP!
Our scholars watched these incredible athletes take the court for some exciting one-on-one basketball action with members of our Imhotep basketball program, creating memories that will last a lifetime!
But the day was about so much more than basketball. A special congratulations to Blessin Morris and Ava Hargrove, our two 12th grade scholars, who were surprised with Philadelphia 76ers tickets in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements!
Our very own 12th-grade Student Support Facilitator, Sister Kendra, was also presented with a signed jersey for how she goes above and beyond for each and every scholar!
Beyond the pictures, basketball, and incredible surprises, our guests delivered powerful words of encouragement, reminding our scholars of the importance of believing in themselves, working hard, and pursuing their dreams.
And perhaps the most powerful part of the day was watching Justin Edwards return to the very school where his journey began, now standing before the next generation of Panthers as living proof of what’s possible.
FROM IMHOTEP TO THE NBA AND BACK HOME.
Thank you to Jaylen Brown, Tacko Fall, and Justin Edwards for pouring into our scholars and reminding them that greatness is within their reach! And thank you to the incredible @glamarstewartsr and his amazing non-profit @wearetaylormadephilly for making this whole day possible.
