F’k no! He hasn’t even wrestled a college match! All the wrestlers in his weight class deserve to be there before he does ! They put the mat time in and deserve it! Tell one of the top wrestlers in his class, Oh! Your not invited, we chose a done nothing in college yet freshman in your place Dam just give him a NCAA championship,and he can call it a season! You heard the saying “seniority rules!” I think that might apply to a top ranked upperclassmen compared to an incoming freshman!

The team will kick off the season on November 11th against Bellarmine, and will end their dual meet season on February 21st against the #2 ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys. There has been a major change to Team USA’s U23 World Team, specifically at 79 kilograms. As NC State’s Matty Singleton was forced to withdraw due to an injury, Penn State’s Joe Sealey has officially been added to the roster, and will now be The United States’ representative at 79 kg. The U17 World Champ took third at this year’s US Open with wins’ over both David Carr and Cam Amine. 📸 @pennstatewrest
With the five-for-five eligibility rule already having been passed this Summer, there could now be even more changes coming to college wrestling! As of yesturday, The Senate has officially passed the ‘Protect College Sports Act,’ which would drastically alter the wrestling space as fans’ and athletes’ now know it. The act, which was passed with a vote of 77-22, has now been sent to The House of Representatives. If approved, athletes would only get to transfer once without losing eligibility. If an athlete were to transfer for a second time without qualifying for an exception, such as their head coach leaving, their program being discontinued, obtaining a graduate degree, or experiencing sexual assault or harassment, they would be required to sit out the following academic year. In addition, the act would modify the five-year eligibility framework, add new federal NIL and recruiting rules, and increase protections’ for Olympic Sports such as wrestling. The Act still had to be passed by The House of Representatives and become an official law, but could potentially change the future of college wrestling.
