RJ Mitte has died at the age of 34. We remember his life and legacy at the link in bio.

There are some things in life we have to grieve that we never actually had.

The marriage we thought we’d have by now. The children we hoped for. The career opportunity that didn’t come. The version of life we imagined we’d be living at this age.

And sometimes that grief is hard to explain because nothing was necessarily taken from us. It’s simply that something we deeply wanted never happened.

In this conversation with @anniefdowns , we talked about the importance of making room to grieve the life you thought you’d have.

Because you can be grateful for the life God has given you and still feel sadness over the things you hoped would be part of it.

Both can be true.

And sometimes moving forward doesn’t begin with telling yourself to get over it. It begins with giving yourself permission to acknowledge what you’ve lost, even if that loss was a dream that never became reality.

You don’t have to pretend it didn’t matter in order to trust God with what comes next.

We talked more about navigating grief, unmet expectations, and trusting God when life looks different than we imagined on the podcast.

Comment 586 and I’ll send the full conversation straight to your DMs.

Not at all what I thought I’d be posting at the beginning of a week, but here we are…

Feeling especially rage-y today, but don’t worry, I’ll be back to motivating, uplifting, fitness content tomorrow.

In the meantime, keep kicking a$$ in your workouts and in whatever you choose to wear, ladies💪

Some moments are best captured, not explained. ✨ MBBFW.

Grammy voters! It’s the most considerate time of year once more. “Softly, to the Sea - Pt. 2” feat @sonuschoir is in the Best Arrangement category! And, a first for me, The Unlikely Mariner is on the ballot in the Best Music Film category! Thanks for considering. I consider your consideration very considerate.
