The step most washers skip happens before any mix goes on: protecting the plants.

What to do on a house like this:

- Soak every plant and bed with plain water before you spray
- Soft wash the siding with the beds already wet
- Watch where the runoff goes and keep it off the beds
- Rinse the plants again when the house is done

Wet plants take in less mix, and a final rinse washes off any overspray.

Do you wet the plants once or twice on a job?

Grab the free startup checklist in our bio. The Soft Wash Ops Kit, with the full job-day plant routine, is the next step. From SoftWash Systems Co.

Field tip: run the hose on the beds first, then spray the siding, and rewet any plant under the area you are working whenever the leaves start to dry. If you want the full routine, code FIRSTJOB takes 20% off the Ops Kit this week.
