Presented by @Rolex. Mountain gorillas have made a comeback in recent decades, with their population nearly doubling since the 1990s. But their close contact with humans poses another threat: diseases can pass between the two, sometimes with deadly consequences for these endangered apes. In Uganda, Rolex National Geographic Perpetual Planet Explorer and wildlife veterinarian Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka is tackling that risk in a way that has changed the scope of gorilla conservation.

Through its partnership with the National Geographic Society and as part of its Perpetual Planet Initiative, #Rolex supports expeditions exploring and protecting remarkable places around the world, a selection of which are featured in Africa Earth’s Wild Home. #PerpetualPlanet

Emmy has opned up about all the bullying she gets for wearing a wig - she shared a picture of herself as a child and said: "Am I the only person in the world who wears a wig I’m just confused?
The amount of comments, mocking and just negativity regarding my look and appearance is honestly shocking. People referring to me as “wig” saying they’re going to pull of my wig; making rude remarks about why I wear wigs.
It’s 2026… 80% of females in this world wear extensions, weaves or wigs.
It’s actually sad and disappointing that my look is constantly picked apart over just a personal choice of style.
The fact that I even have to address this more than once is again sad and disappointing.
By the way this is the little girl you are all bullying by the way. Do better world"

What do you think about Emma being relentlessly bullied over her wig?

💙 A little muscari inspiration for spring…

Every autumn, I love finding new ways to plant muscari bulbs. These little grape hyacinths are such cheerful signs of spring, and I think they look just as lovely in an old vintage container as they do planted in the garden.

Over the years, I’ve planted them in vintage jam jars, a galvanised jug and bowl set, little pots, old pans and our garden borders. You really don’t need anything fancy to create a beautiful display, sometimes the simplest, most unexpected containers are my favourites.

This year, I’m trying something a little different and planting 125 muscari bulbs in an extra-large vintage sieve! 💙 I can’t wait to see how it looks when they flower in spring.

A few little tips if you’re planting muscari bulbs this autumn:

🌱 Plant them around 8–10cm deep, with the pointed end facing upwards.
🌱 Choose a sunny or partially shaded spot with reasonably well-drained soil. If you’re using containers, make sure excess water can drain away. Thankfully the sieve came well prepared! 😂
🌱 Plant them fairly close together in pots for a lovely full display, or scatter them through your borders for little pockets of blue in spring.

And don’t forget the squirrels! I cover my freshly planted bulbs with chicken wire, secured firmly in place, to help stop them digging everything up. Choose mesh that allows the shoots to grow through, or remove it when the shoots emerge.

Muscari are such easy little bulbs to grow, and they come back year after year when they’re happy in their spot.

Which display is your favourite?

Save this post for your autumn bulb planting, and swipe through to see all the ideas! 💙

Thanks so much to @gardenersdreamuk for kindly gifting me the bulbs!

Not many people could make me travel to Birmingham on a Tuesday night, via two taxis, a train, and 2.30hr car ride home, especially when Arsenal are playing a big Champions League match at home.
In fact, there’s only one: Stevie Wonder.
My all-time favourite singer/musician launched his new tour last night, a 50th anniversary tribute to his iconic Songs In The Key of Life album. And to say it was brilliant is an understatement. He may be 76 but his voice is still incredible, his musicianship extraordinary, and his stamina/energy remarkable. Backed by a huge world-class band and singers, the great man was on fabulous form.
This clip was my favourite bit: Stevie drinking tea to ease his throat, while speaking in a comically Artful Dodger-style English accent, then singing If It’s Magic in perfect pitch.
It was all magic, Stevie.
Thank you. 🙏
