Gen Z is optimizing for happiness. Hiring managers are optimizing for grind.

There’s no question that hiring is a pain in the a**. That’s why I made my Growth Accelerator Workshop. In two days, you’ll walk out with the exact role, scorecard, pay plan and interview process to higher the number two who runs your business for you, even if your last manager hire blew up in your face. COMMENT SCALE and I’ll send you the details.

If you wanna watch the full episode, comment BIG DEAL.

Written By @laurettamylove🍁Autumn has an amazing way of teaching the Heart when it is time to let go of what is damaging to the Soul, by moving in ways that can’t be rushed, listening to the whispers of the trees through autumns gentle breeze as they let go of their leaves with such ease, so too should we let go of the emotions that bare down on our Hearts, while embracing freedom through the light of Love. This reflects the beauty of dawn’s slow steady rising, to reveal what can be seen & what remains hidden within life’s dreams, where consciousness is gracefully finding its way to the light of Love ahead, step by step within the rhythm of life’s ever evolving flow. By nourishing the compassionate kindness within, it becomes an imperishable flame of life that flows with confidence, is shaped by wisdom, to envelop the Soul through the light of Love.🤎

I had no plans of touching this topic until it found its way into my comment section, so I felt like maybe I should open the door for discussion.✨

I want to make it VERY clear that I have so many amazing men in my life who I love and cherish. It genuinely makes me sad to think that they might feel like they have to overexplain themselves or worry about being automatically perceived as bad simply because they’re men. Having to prove they’re safe, that they’re “one of the good guys.”

But as a certified gym girly who has landed on the “wrong” side of the algorithm more times than I can count, I can also speak from experience about how devastating it feels to be misunderstood and harshly judged based on someone else’s perception of you.

Obviously, I work in social media, so criticism comes with the territory. But there’s a difference between criticism and having your character, values, and work attacked en masse by men who have already decided you’re less deserving of basic decency because of what you’re wearing, with their opinions reinforced by their favorite comedian’s punchline.

And that’s where this becomes bigger than a disagreement about clothing or personal preferences. It reinforces a deeply rooted bias that women somehow have to earn care, respect, and decency by fitting into someone else’s idea of what a woman should look like or how she should behave.

Respect should never be conditional on whether someone agrees with your choices.

I think we can acknowledge that it’s unfair to judge all men by the actions of some, while also acknowledging that women shouldn’t have to defend their character or prove their worth just to be treated with basic respect.
Both things can be true. And I think we should be able to have that conversation
