Bonds is greatest player i ever see play baseball. We all know media hated him for being lets say not a nice guy but big papi got put in when we know he was a juicer. Guy was trash ln Minnesota then all of a sudden. Yeah!!!

Whatever….bullcrap. I watched it to and he went from a hall of fame player to the best ever. He did things he never did before from 35 on. Just shut up about him NOT doing them. He along with a generation of guys. Put him in but make a damn wing for that era and then everyone can just stop talking about

Ahhh. Nobody goes from averaging 35 homers a year up the age of 35. To averaging 50 from 35 to 40. Not to mention. His batting average also went up 25 points during that time. Barry was simply the best player who decided to do steroids

MLB knew what was happening and looked the other way. Sosa, McGuire, Bonds… all those home runs created an enormous amount of excitement and brought the fans back to the game and created new fans. Gaylord Perry is in the Hall and doctored the ball and everyone knew it, but he was praised as a wily veteran. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Bud Selig knew they were taking Steroids and is in the HOF, any player during that era should be in as well

Several things can be true at once here that do seem contradictory. Did Bonds hit the most home runs of any player, yes. Did Bonds cheat and use steroids, yes. Did MLB profit and grow from players using steroids, yes. Did MLB realize that what they allowed was wrong and are trying to hide it, yes. I think the answer is you can have the HOF and tell the story of the guys that earned it and simultaneously you can tell the story of the steroid era the guys that profited from it without dishonoring them.
