White House press secretary Katie Zacharia raised questions Tuesday after appearing to say she passed the bar exam after moving to China.

Asked which state’s bar she passed, Zacharia replied, “When I moved to China.” A White House official later said she relocated there with her husband for his job and worked in international transaction law.

Zacharia has repeatedly described herself as a lawyer, and Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law congratulated her appointment, identifying her as an alumna and Dean’s Council member. However, according to multiple outlets, it remains unclear whether she ever passed a U.S. state bar exam.

![RAM vs SSD vs Cache: What’s the Difference?
Your computer doesn’t store everything in one place. It uses different memory layers because some are faster than others.
Here’s what each one does:
→ SSD: Stores your files and apps for the long term.
→ RAM: Holds the apps and data you’re actively using.
→ CPU Cache & Registers: Keep frequently needed data close to the CPU for faster access.
→ GPU Memory: Holds AI models and the data they need to run.
→ KV Cache: Helps AI chatbots retain context during a conversation without recomputing everything from scratch.
The key idea?
Memory isn’t just about how much you can store. It’s about how quickly you can access the data you need.
