💭 Thoughts
Very cute! Predictable of course, but the point of Mhairi McFarlane’s novels is rarely just a love story. I’ve said it before but she writes the best slice-of-life books. You feel like you’re jumping into someone’s fully-formed life and friendships and struggles, and her main characters always feel so human and real.

Now after reading most of her books, most of her female characters have a similar energy to them - fierce, funny, a good friend, quick on their feet. Even if they blur a bit together, I love reading them.
