Book Review -The Stationery Shop of Tehran 📚
The Stationery Shop of Tehran is a beautiful piece of literature that follows the love story of Bahman and Roya, who are separated by circumstances and find themselves still in love with each other 50 years later.
Set in 1953 Tehran, Iran, against the backdrop of political upheaval and the violent coup d’état that overthrew Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, the story takes readers on an emotional journey through love, loss, and the consequences of choices.
Bahman and Roya’s love takes an unexpected turn, leading to a heartbreaking separation, largely orchestrated by the sheer wickedness of Badri, Bahman’s mother.
The story explores themes of love, betrayal, politics, and fate. What I loved most was how meticulously
@marjankamali7 led me through the lives of the different characters across the years, allowing me to witness their growth, struggles, and the lasting impact of their choices.
It was absolutely jaw-dropping and heartbreaking to discover that Mr. Fakhri had become the perpetrator of so much of what happened.
This is such a good read, and it has certainly won my heart. It has also left me with so much to reflect on.
Some stories entertain you; others stay with you long after you turn the final page. This is one of them. ❤️📖
