Getting in touch with a heritage once lost can be a huge step to knowing who you are.

“FilAm” tells the story of a young Filipino American on the cusp of adulthood who’s struggling to figure out his place and the world, and who he really is. Guided by his family to get in touch with his roots, he begins to feel right at home

October is Filipino American History Month, and we’re marking it with a short film from director Tony Marquez who hopes that this film not only gives more Filipino representation in media, but also makes you laugh, makes you think, and makes you want to celebrate the diversity around us.
