Our first annual Marriage Conference is happening this Saturday at 9:30am. The cost is only $80 per couple and includes worship, teaching sessions, and lunch!

Childcare will also be provided for kids up to the age of 13 years old. We have you covered so come on out!

WHITE STREAMER REPORTEDLY TRIES TO HUMILIATE BLACK MEN WITH RACIST FRIED CHICKEN STEREOTYPE, AND THE CONFRONTATION TURNS PHYSICAL!

A viral video reportedly shows a white streamer approaching a group of Black men and attempting to provoke them using fried chicken, a food historically weaponized in racist stereotypes against Black Americans. According to the post accompanying the footage, the confrontation eventually turned physical. LET’S TALK ABOUT WHY SOME PEOPLE THINK RACIAL HUMILIATION IS ENTERTAINMENT. This wasn’t simply about food. It was about using a historically racist stereotype to provoke Black people, apparently for views, reactions, and social media attention.

BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT PROPS FOR SOMEONE ELSE’S CONTENT. The history of fried chicken stereotypes is rooted in racist caricatures that portrayed Black Americans as inferior and deserving of ridicule. And today, some content creators continue recycling those same stereotypes under the excuse of comedy or trolling. RACISM DOES NOT BECOME FUNNY BECAUSE SOMEONE IS HOLDING A CAMERA. Physical violence is not the solution, but deliberately provoking people with racial insults is unacceptable. STOP NORMALIZING ANTI-BLACK RACISM AS ENTERTAINMENT AND THEN ACTING SURPRISED WHEN PEOPLE ARE OFFENDED.
