Killer car! What’s in it for a drivetrain and what is the total race weight?

The new Tesla Roadster.

A car that holds itself upside down.

@teslamotors has unveiled the new Roadster. Cold-gas thrusters developed with SpaceX, active aerodynamics and a fan-based suction system that pulls the car to the ground - or, while stationary, holds it to the ceiling.

The numbers: 0-60 mph in 0.81 seconds, a top speed above 250 mph and a range of 620 miles. Production is scheduled for 2028.

Exterior in Ano White, an aerospace-derived finish, with gold-glazed glass inspired by spacesuit visors and titanium accents. Inside: ultrawhite with grey microsuede, manual controls and a fixed seat to save weight, magnesium, titanium and carbon fibre throughout.

Whether it actually flies remains to be seen.
