Peering through the window of her family’s van, Mavis Richardson pulled into the dropoff area of Carson Elementary School, the public school where she used to be a student. A year ago, the 10-year-old wore a purple dress and matching sneakers. She now donned a Cornerstone Christian Schools navy and red plaid skirt.
