Happy National Hispanic Heritage Month! On its final day we wanted to celebrate the first ever Hispanic Barbie! Hispanic Barbie and Black Barbie, both released in 1980, marked a groundbreaking shift in diversifying the Barbie world.
As is the nature of any doll, Barbie is an extension of the child playing with her. Through imaginative play, children can feel empowered through exploration and build a healthy self-esteem.
