So apparently, we’re ONLY supposed to fight crime and stay in our lane? 😂🚔

Comedians, entrepreneurs, content creators, speakers… you’d be surprised how much talent exists behind the badge!

@realaaronthompson and I talk about officers pursuing passions beyond policing.

Here’s my question: Should officers embrace their talents and build something outside the uniform, or is it doing too much?

Because last time I checked, wearing a badge doesn’t mean you stop being HUMAN…And yes, even the so-called “TikTok cops.” 😂

👀 Cops and community, I want to hear from BOTH sides. Drop your thoughts below!

Great post Jill! I’ve always had a my own business aside from being an LEO. From martial arts instruction, personal and retirement financial professional to a John Maxwell Leadership Coach, Trainer and Speaker. Rarely did I ever stay in the LEO lane. Again great post! Love what you’re doing!

More officer getting involved in things other than they’re job. Those are usually the ones who aren’t proactive at work, they ride the clock, answer any lil bs call they can. Ain’t finding no dope, warrants, stolen cars, or fighting any real crime.

I feel like the philosophy of “humanizing the badge” is pretty polarizing in the LE community.

Law enforcement draws people from all walks of life. Gene Roddenberry, the man who created Star Trek, was an LAPD Motor Sergeant before his series got picked up for TV. He's one of many examples.
