✨🌸 Navarathri Day 2– Celebrating the joy of giving and togetherness. 🌸✨

🪔❤️ This Navarathri, I celebrated not just a festival, but humanity.

I feel truly happy and proud to celebrate the second day of Golu at AA Guru Silks with our staffs. They may not always receive the appreciation they deserve, but their work makes a difference in all our lives. ❤️🙏

God doesn’t see status, wealth, or profession; He sees the goodness in our hearts. To me, the true meaning of a festival is not just worshipping the divine, but sharing love, giving respect, and making every person feel valued. 🌸✨

🌺 We will be giving thambulam tomorrow and the day after tomorrow at AA Guru Silks! I warmly invite everyone to come, celebrate Golu with us, and be part of this beautiful tradition. Let’s spread love, respect, and happiness together. 🪔🙏

True devotion isn’t just in the prayers we offer to God, but also in the love and respect we show to His people. ✨

I’ve been planning my weeks following this same rhythm each Sunday for at least the last 4 years. In the early years, it wasn’t as necessary to plan ahead so much… but as our homeschool and family grew, so did my need for mapping things out ahead of time.

Btw I’m using the Salas Living Lesson Keeper here, highly recommend 😉 for all my favorite homeschool things, just comment SUNDAY for the 🔗 to be sent to your DMs!

First I check my calendar and make note of what’s going on for the week ahead, check the weather (I will absolutely want soup and freshly baked bread for a rainy day), and take quick inventory of what’s in the fridge and pantry.

I plan our meals in the “weekly overview” section of my planner. It’s undated so if I miss a week it’s no big deal. I also add in any notes for things I’d like to bake or snacks to prep, and jot down any appts, outings, big tasks, or events, per day to reference when I’m looking at the meals throughout the week.

Next I gather all my curriculum guides or chapter books and just fill in what’s next. If we missed a lesson the week prior, I’ll just add that into the current week.

Morning Time is for Bible, discipleship, hymns, prayer and our read-aloud books. We generally do this in the morning ofc but sometimes it’s during breakfast, other days it’s after time outside, and some days it’s in the afternoon (lol) if we had a busy morning out. We do prioritize this though!

I next add in our “together” subjects for each day; history, science, co-op (enrichment subjects), geography, and anything we plan on doing together that week. I try to focus on one “main” subject per day and then add in anything else if we’re able to. I’ve found this is more sustainable than trying to load us up and then feeling like I’m always behind.

Then I fill in their individual things; math, grammar, narrations, etc. I also would generally take time to either fill out or have the kids write in their Daily Delights notebooks, which have 5 things for them to check off each day (can be homeschool or chores or whatever), but the baby woke up and that was that!

Hope this helps!!! 🫶🏻
