11 hours agoOmg! Grabe siya. my make up artist nung wedding is Glow by gerlie and siya mismo nag suggest na yung trial make up ay on the day na prenup namin gawin. And sa condo pa nya kami nag trial make up.
14 hours agoIn a business perspective, I think it would be easier and more in-control for a MUA to charge for strictly makeup service details rather than event-based charging. This could look like their highest tier pricing be on-the day exclusivity, regular touch ups, and other makeup related support. They could take out or add-on to their service pricing accordingly without stressing their clients and themselves.
2 days agoNot a common practice at all… Ang sad naman nito. :( As a makeup artist, I always make it a point to ask my brides if they have an upcoming event or if they plan to use their trial makeup for their prenup shoot, para ma-schedule nmen nang maayos. I would never remove a client’s makeup after a trial just because they didn’t avail of a prenup package.
2 days agoAko I advice na pag sabayin na lang prenup and trial makeup, pero better if mag avail sila with retouch iba pa din kasi yung maayos na retouch vs si client lang bahala na mag retouch sa prenup shoot🩵
3 days agoI guess different artists just have different practices.. 🥲 Up to the client if that practice resonates with them, if not, move to the next. 😊 I ask my brides if they have a shoot or an event so they can use it for that so it’s not sayang 😇
3 days agoNo. This is not right. My wedding coordinator and my bridesmaids who are all from event/advertising/film industries specifically told me to book the trial makeup day on a day that I'll be going around/moving around or busy. Like for example se prenup photo shoot. Or even non-wedding related like buying groceries or shopping in the mall, specifically so i can test the makeup's longevity on my face. So mas dapat talagang di pwede tanggalin after. It's also a paid service. Mababalik ba ni MUA sa palette nya yung makeup na ginamit? Di rin naman
3 days agoPro makeup artists here, I don’t do this, the bride/client can do whatever they want with their trial makeup, I even suggest that they use it for their prenup and observe how the makeup changes throughout it the day. I think this practice is just “greedy” sorry sa mga kapwa Mua ko who does this pero bayad naman kayo for that eh. Kung ginamit Nila for their wedding, that’s out of my control din, i get that in business that you have to be cutthroat to a degree but these types of practices lalo pag top makeup artist ka can damage the industry itself. Don’t be greedy!
3 days agoThats such BS. Hell no would I let anyone forcibly touch or remove makeup thats already on my face. What will they do chase u afterwards? Haha The MUA doesnt own my skin, absolutely no right. It aint a dress she is renting to take back. Fking rude. As well as the wear test, cause makeup can look insanely diff from 2 to then 6 hours later. How is that a trial? Trial is also wear test, especially for a wedding. Absolute BS. If it is common practice, it doesn't mean it's right.
3 days agoLately, plenty of hmuas are becoming unreasonable. They really need to stop doing that. Otherwise they’re just creating a gap in the market for another product or service to fill which could eventually hurt their business in the long run 🤷♀️
3 days agoIt depends on the makeup artist. Especially those who are famous already. Their Bridal makeup is their trade mark and they don’t just let the client re-use that look for something else.
