Is Your Ego Stopping You from Enjoying Life? I’ve often noticed how ego can quietly take us away from the moment. We start measuring respect, recognition and who knows whom instead of simply enjoying where we are. 🌿 We may start wondering where we are seated, who has acknowledged us and whom we should speak to. Instead of enjoying the moment, we measure the experience by how much recognition we receive. Respect and recognition matter, but they are not the measure of our entire life. Buddhist thought reminds us that status and prestige are temporary. I believe we experience life more fully when we hold ourselves lightly. A little humility helps us stay lighter and more present. What do you think? ✨ #lifelessons #SelfAwareness #Ego #Mindfulness #PersonalGrowth
Eric Stonestreet was rejected twice before landing the role of Cameron Tucker on Modern Family, a character that the creators eventually built around his real-life talents, leading him to win two Emmy Awards. Originally, the casting directors felt he wasn’t the right fit for the part, but his persistence paid off when he was brought back for a third audition alongside Jesse Tyler Ferguson, revealing an instant on-screen chemistry. Recognizing his unique background, the writers famously integrated Stonestreet’s real-life history as a trained clown into the show, creating Cameron’s beloved, recurring alter-ego “Fizbo.” This brilliant blend of personal experience and theatrical flair completely transformed the character, turning a role he was nearly passed over for into a definitive, award-winning performance that anchored the hit sitcom for eleven seasons.
