Throwback to last year's 2025 Rise Wellness Festival in Hedley, BC
This was a very special moment for me as it was the first time I was offered a late night spot of 12:00 a.m. to offer a transformational sound healing journey, to essentially close the festivities on the final night. It was an honor to be given such a meaningful spot at such a beautiful festival, and it was also so beautiful to have this style of offering soul well received at what normally would be considered the "peak" hours of a music festival of / transformational festival. Often times these spots are given to headlining DJs, yet it was so beautiful to fill the festival's space with the multitude of live instruments (sitar, handpan, medicine flute ... ), sound healing tools (crystal singing bowls & more ...), vocal atonement, singing, and live looping that all together weaves the magic of the sound journeys that I offer.
I really would love to see this more at international music festivals and transformational festivals, where the midnight hour or early morning hours are dedicated to more healing and expansive practices. It was amazing to see how well received it was by the participants of the festival, and such a unique way to essentially close and integrate all of the collective energy accumulated throughout the weekend's gathering.
... And I truly didn't start playing until around 1:00 a.m. by the time I had all my instruments set up and sound checking complete, so even for myself it was a wild journey to lead a 1 hour plus expansive and expressive sound healing Journey through the early hours of the night.
