22 days agoSometimes, I wish I could gather every beautiful thing in this world and lay it at your feet. I wish I could return to you every moment of rest you sacrificed, every dream you postponed, every tear you swallowed, and every time you chose us even when you needed someone to choose you. I know I cannot repay you for giving me life, much less for all the ways you have continued to make that life beautiful. But I pray that I get to spend my years loving you in ways that remind you that none of it was ever in vain. Happy birthday, my mother. My beginning, my answered prayer, my lifelong blessing. May Allah preserve you for us, bless you with abundant health, increase you in happiness, forgive your shortcomings, accept your prayers, and grant you goodness in this life and the Hereafter. May He honour you in ways this world never could and grant you Jannatul Firdaus for all the love and goodness you have poured into our lives. If I had to live a thousand lifetimes, I would still pray to have you as my mother in every single one of them. I love you beyond the limits of language, beyond what these words can express, and beyond what I may ever be able to show you.
