Y'all, there are too many really traditional Mexican restaurants for you to eat subpar gringo gentrified tacos. One of my fav spots is Ely Taqueria on North Tryon near Eastway.
They have tacos for $1.50 every Tuesday and Thursday. Both locations have a small amount of indoor seating. My favorite taco,lengua (beef tongue...don't knock it until you try it!), Is extra, so I get al pastor.
*Do not skip their horchata or aguas frescas.
*If you dine in, do not take a bite until the salsa rack arrives at your table.
*Do order the chips and salsa.

I feel this, the majority don't have anything vegan but I yurn so deeply to have this style. Know any spots that offer any good stuff for the weirdos like me!? I have found some here and there but my ass just be pulling up hoping I can make something shake 😅
