I’m 55. My skin is loose in places. My forehead wrinkles. My eyes crinkle. My belly looks different when I stop holding it in. I’m also strong, active, and comfortable showing you all of it. ❤️ I choose to care for my body and mind. That doesn’t mean my skin will stop aging, or that it needs to. The wrinkles don’t bother me. What I question is the story we’ve been told: that as women age, we lose our beauty, our desirability, and somehow our worth, if we don’t continue looking young. Men become “silver foxes.” Their bellies can be considered sexy. Meanwhile, women are expected to keep looking like time never touched us. I’m choosing a different story. I can love my body as it is and keep caring for it, so that I’m healthy. Acceptance and effort can exist together. So can muscles and loose skin. For me, the beauty of aging is in getting to keep living, growing, and becoming more myself. Aging is a privilege. I want to experience it without constantly inspecting myself for something to fix. Your life. Your body. Your choices. Including choices different from mine. But let them come from what feels right for YOU. You get to question what you’ve been taught to dislike about yourself. We don’t control every change aging brings. We do have a say in the meaning we give those changes, and how we treat ourselves along the way. What’s one belief about aging you’re ready to let go of? #AgingOnMyTerms #ProAging #ThisIs55 #BodyAcceptance #AgingIsAPrivilege

Childhood is a time of wonder, curiosity and discovery. Today, The Princess of Wales has commissioned @earlychildhood to take forward new work examining how nature can support the healthy development of babies and young children, with a new programme set to launch next year. Supported by founding partner @theduchyofcornwall, the work will explore how nature, creativity and relationships can help nurture the social and emotional skills that underpin lifelong health and wellbeing. 🌳
The love for The Middle all these years later truly warms my heart. ❤️ I absolutely loved being part of this show, and knowing that it continues to resonate with people, bring laughter, and feel like a little piece of home means more to me than I can say. We made something special, and I’m so grateful that the Heck family continues to find a place in your hearts. 🏡❤️ #TheMiddle #PatriciaHeaton #FrankieHeck #TheHecks #TheMiddleTVShow
