3 minutes agoI agree with the part about campaigning to invest in education. I’m tired of calling to mobilize the black dollar. We’ve been hearing that song for a long time now.
7 minutes agoGoated collab right here. Great platform for this conversation to be had.
12 minutes agoFeels like the conversation between W.e.b. Du Boise and Booker T. Washington 100 years ago.
an hour agoMike is loud but says really nothing. Loves to look at the past and how “good” black people had it back then. What does he want? What is his plan? It’s always just a bunch of talking—no action. Fish sammich man just talking.
an hour agoThe hypothetical "socialist house" that needs saving and thus "send dollars in" because capitalism, and also a before anything else a 20 year education campaign... I can't.
an hour agoI dunno people, I’m gonna go against the grain and say Killer Mike has done more for the cause over a longer period of time and should be heard out. He’s a realist. A pragmatist. It’s all good to say capitalism doesn’t work but are you going to overthrow it? Go on then 🤷🏻♂️. Also just want to point out I’m not anti VIC - this dude’s a beast and I love what he does. I like that there’s dialogue - I just think we should pick our battles. Mike ain’t the enemy.
an hour agoOh, I KNOW Mike HATED this "Black buying power" point. He's been beefing with Dr. Ball for years.😂
an hour agoDoes @killermike catch as much heat for yelling as @amandaseales does? I don’t think either of these ppl are hateful or malevolent which is how people perceive Amanda for having this exact tone. Now, is all that fussin unsettling to hear? YES. But, it’s important to pause and listen. Mike’s perspective is harmful and will benefit a select few. Amanda’s perspective is mostly progressive and inclusive. Of these two, who’s labeled “insufferable”? The light skinned lady. This is fascinating to see.
