Your wife’s money

based on the Islamic opinion, it is a man’s sole responsibility to spend on his house. Islam does not believe that marriage creates a 50-50 financial responsibility on the husband and wife. The financial burden is completely their husband’s responsibility.

The $50 million breakup story sounds almost too wild to be true, and part of it is.

When Mariah Carey and Australian billionaire James Packer ended their engagement in 2016, reports said Carey was seeking a $50 million “inconvenience fee” connected to financial terms discussed while they were planning to marry. The viral version often says she sued Packer and won $50 million, but reporting from the time describes negotiations, not a $50 million court victory.

What happened next was still extraordinary. Carey later reached a private multimillion-dollar settlement with Packer and reportedly kept the massive 35-carat engagement ring he had given her. Their engagement had been announced in January 2016 before the relationship unraveled later that year.

It is the kind of celebrity breakup story where romance, wealth, legal negotiations and one unforgettable diamond collide. A must-see piece of pop culture history and visual storytelling that proves the real story can be just as fascinating as the viral headline.

Save this post for the next time the $50 million Mariah Carey story appears on your feed, or share it with someone who loves celebrity history.
