It’s the end of an era. Byeeee Southwest. 👋

Am I sad? Obviously. My family loved Southwest, but they’ve slowly taken away everything that made them who they were.

So please check on all of your friends that are deep in points and miles because we are mourning a loss today.

But we’re used to all good things coming to an end in this hobby, so we’re pretty good at pivoting.

Give us a few days and then we’ll move on to bigger and better things 💪

💯. We used to love @southwestair and would fly them always. After this switch and one time flying them I will never fly them again. Prices are just as much as the other airlines but more add on fees and chaos.

I feel the same way. I have been a Southwest girly since college, did a whole thesis on their business model... now there's no difference between them and everyone else. Just fly Delta fold

Their model isn’t economical anymore. They were losing money doing that and things had to change. The culture also changed after Herb. Culture is everything in an airline and if the top brass isn’t leading well, everyone suffers.

They lost me when I learned they didn't let people with disabilities board first.

Yup yup. SWA used to be our go to…not anymore. @delta really needs to capitalize on their downfall and start promoting themself as a family friendly airline.

Stopped flying Southwest years ago during Hunger Games seating days after they skipped family boarding, let a huge extended family of adults take up most of the plan with saved rows and wouldn’t help when we basically had to fight that family so our 2 year old could sit with at least one of us. No thanks.
